Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare's Vice President of Global Respiratory and Sleep to speak at the AARC 70th Anniversary Conference

Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare announced today that Joseph Lewarski, Vice President of Global Respiratory and Sleep, will speak at the AARC 70th Anniversary Conference at the Dittrick Museum of Medical History on Saturday, April 22.

Lewarski, who has worked in healthcare for over 33 years, will discuss the history and evolution of home respiratory care, the impact that reimbursement challenges have on the delivery of care, the current status of respiratory homecare, therapists' current challenges and the future of homecare respiratory therapy.

Lewarski is a registered respiratory therapist and a Fellow of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). He has also played a part in the development and design of various medical devices and has published over 40 peer-reviewed research and scientific papers, two textbook chapters, along with myriad clinical and industry-related articles and white papers. In addition to writing, he also speaks regularly at regional and national pulmonary medicine, respiratory therapy and homecare conferences.

The museum, located on the campus of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH will also be presenting an exhibit depicting the work of respiratory therapists and AARC. Historical pulmonary medical equipment and vintage photographs will be on display from March 1 to May 1.
