Drive Medical Acquires Dupont Medical, A Leading Manufacturer and Distributor in France

Port Washington, New York--July 8, 2014

Drive Medical, a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of durable medical products, announces that it has acquired Dupont Medical, one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of healthcare products in France. The Company operates from a 175,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility located in Frouard, France.

Founded more than 150 years ago, Dupont Medical is one of the most recognized premier brands in the healthcare industry in France and is an industry leader in Europe, with a broad range of products marketed and distributed to approximately 2,000 customers throughout Europe. The Company manufactures and distributes a full range of home healthcare products, including wheelchairs, homecare beds, patient lifts and technical aids, under the Mobily, Samery and Adage brands. Dupont Medical also manufactures and distributes a broad range of diagnostic devices, emergency equipment and medical instruments for doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals under the Colson and Healthy brands.

Over the past several years, the Company has launched a wide range of innovative products including comfort and positioning seatlift chairs. The Company continually invests in research and development to bring new products and solutions to markets throughout Europe.
