Drive Medical Acquires Business of Primus Medical; Solidifies Presence in Long-Term Care Market

Port Washington, New York – December 15, 2014

Effective December 15, 2014, Drive Medical is pleased to announce the acquisition of the business of Primus Medical, LLC, a leading manufacturer of innovative long-term care beds and related products. Located in Ohio, Primus manufactures high-quality leading-edge long-term care products, including full-function low beds, bariatric beds, lifts and chairs, therapeutic air and foam mattresses, lifts, slings and safety products. Primus has enjoyed great success in its launch of the PrimePlus®B1750 High Capacity Bed and PrimeCare®B901 High/Low Bed.

Tony Crisitello, Drive’s Senior Vice President of Long-Term Care, will be directing the combined sales and marketing activities of Primus and Drive’s long-term care division in North America.
